譚詠麟，1950年8月23日生於香港，籍貫廣東新會，綽號「譚校長」，為已故足球名宿譚江柏之子。
香港流行樂壇的殿堂級歌手之一，音樂人與電影演員，60年代末為Loosers樂隊成員，1973年任温拿樂隊主音歌手，1981年憑《假如我是真的》奪得第十八屆台灣金馬獎最佳男主角獎。1984至1985年初推出的三張唱片《愛的根源》，《霧之戀》，《愛情陷阱》被譽為"愛情三部曲"，1984至1987年連續四屆奪得香港十大勁歌金曲「最受歡迎男歌星」獎以及香港十大中文金曲IFPI大獎，1988年2月13日退出領獎。
